One team, drawings to done.

Remodeling moves more smoothly when the people preparing the plans stay connected to the people building from them.

NewGen works as one close-knit team, including the architect who handles drawings and permit submissions. From the first walkthrough through the work itself, the same team knows what was discussed, what was drawn, and what the agreed scope calls for.

That means you are not left trying to coordinate the planning, permitting, and construction on your own.

The plans stay connected to the people doing the work.

03The Bid

How the bid gets built.

Price follows the work

Every project is different.

Two homes can need very different amounts of work even when the end goal sounds similar. Existing conditions, layout changes, and the selections you make all affect the scope.

That is why we do not start with a price list.

The number comes from seeing the space

You reach out, we talk through what you are planning, and then we walk the property with you in person.

We take measurements, look at what we can access, discuss the work, and build a written bid around the scope we agree on.

Changes get approved first

If the scope changes during the project or something unexpected comes up, we price the change and get your approval before that work moves forward.

Our labor is also warrantied for one year, in writing.

One written number for the work we agree on, built from seeing the project in person.

04 Common Questions

Questions we get a lot.

What does a free estimate actually involve?

You tell us what you are planning and where the property is. We come out, walk the space with you, take measurements, and talk through the project in person.

From there, we prepare a written bid based on the work we discussed.

Why are there no prices on the site?

Because every project is different.

The size of the room is only one part of the equation. Existing conditions, layout changes, and the finishes you choose can all change the amount of work involved.

We would rather see the project and price the actual scope than give you a number online that may have very little to do with your home.

Do you handle plans and permits?

Yes. The team includes the architect who handles the drawings and permit submissions.

That is especially important on projects like ADUs and whole-home remodels, where the drawing and permitting process can be a significant part of the overall schedule.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. NewGen holds California General Building Contractor license #1151759. We are bonded, carry general liability insurance, and provide a one-year warranty on our labor.

Do you do commercial work?

Yes. NewGen takes on commercial projects as well as residential work.

Painting is the exception and is residential only for now.

Do you offer landscaping?

No. Landscaping is not a service we offer.

We would rather be clear about what we do than take on work we are not set up for.

What does a flat bid mean?

One written price for the scope we agree on rather than billing the project by the hour.

If the scope changes, we price that change separately and get your approval before the additional work moves forward.

Many trades, one starting point.

Whether you are planning a kitchen, bathroom, ADU, whole-home remodel, or residential painting project, it starts with a conversation about the work.
